Moth Belly is an artist-owned gallery and community space in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood, founded in the fall of 2020 by John Vochatzer and KT Seibert. Officially opened in October 2021, we feature monthly exhibits and various events like workshops and concerts, prioritizing emerging local artists. Our online platform, under “Moth Belly Media,” documents contemporary art trends and promotes artists through a blog, magazine, and video interviews. As a not-for-profit organization, fiscally sponsored by Intersection for the Arts, we uphold DIY ethics of accessibility and sustainability, providing a welcoming space for everyone to explore and develop their creative talents.
