The Tenderloin Museum promotes the history and character of the Tenderloin neighborhood through educational and artistic activities that support its vibrancy and economic development. Established in 2009 as Uptown Tenderloin, Inc., the museum highlights the area’s rich history and diversity. It played a key role in creating the Uptown Tenderloin Historic District and installing historic plaques and murals. Since opening in 2015, the museum has welcomed over 2,500 visitors and offers more than 100 walking tours annually. It aims to foster a deeper understanding of the Tenderloin past while envisioning a brighter future. Join our community today!
