Luis, inspired by the aromas at Sally’s restaurant, grew up in San Francisco and honed his culinary skills at San Francisco City College. He worked at Bacar and Chaya Brasserie before becoming Pastry Sous Chef at Citizen Cake, where his creativity flourished. In 2008, he became Pastry Chef at Orson restaurant, gaining recognition as one of the Bay Area’s top pastry chefs. His journey included positions at Absinthe Brasserie and La Victoria Bakery, and he served as Director and Pastry Chef for Ozumo restaurant group. Currently, he teaches aspiring chefs at CCSF Culinary Arts and Hospitality Program.
